I work Northeast NC — Currituck, Camden, Pasquotank, Chowan, Bertie, Hertford, Gates, and now Martin County — and I write these buyer's briefs in the evenings because I got tired of sending out-of-town buyers long emails about what a place is actually like to live in, and started writing it down instead.

Martin County is a different animal than the coastal counties I usually cover. It's rural and affordable, but it's also a genuine regional hub — the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center and Martin Community College's equine program make it a real destination for land, farm, and horse-property buyers who've been priced out of that kind of acreage everywhere else. Williamston sits right at the US-17/US-64 crossroads on the Roanoke River, with a manufacturing base and a walkable downtown. This site is built around those three buyer types, honestly, without pretending the market is something it isn't.

I'm a licensed NC Real Estate Broker (#334264) and a licensed NC General Contractor (#99504), which matters here more than most places — a lot of this county's housing stock, from Williamston's older homes to farm outbuildings, benefits from someone who can look at a structure and tell you what it will actually cost to fix, not just whether it appraises.
